Andy Ruiz Jr has shown off his remarkable body transformation.

He became the first Mexican-born heavyweight champion six years ago when he defeated Anthony Joshua in the seventh round of their Madison Square Garden melee.

Ruiz last fought against American fighter Jarrell Miller last August, in a stalemate match that resulted in a fractured hand.

He gained some 20 stones in the rematch against Joshua in December 2019 in Saudi Arabia.

Ruiz wanted a rematch and suggested: “I don’t want to say the three months of partying or celebrating didn’t affect me.

“As to tell you the truth, it kind of did. There’s no excuses, the partying got the best of me. The next fight is going to be a lot different.”

Ruiz is working incredibly hard behind the scenes to keep himself incredibly fit as he prepares for his next match.

He shared a topless selfie on his Instagram story, followed by the caption: “The diet is hard. Slowly but surely. Work in progress.”

Ruiz Jr. is still one of the biggest names in the heavyweight boxing category, and fans would love to see him in the ring once again.
