The former Sky Sports pundit Andy Gray wasn’t one bit happy with England’s performance at this summer tournament despite getting to the final. Gareth Southgate was too defensive says the former Dundee United player. The 65 year old Scot does have a point, Gareth Southgate has done an excellent job in getting England to where they were in the final, but you still have to ask why were they so defensive. On paper if England really pushed on and went for England last night after they went one nil up, you feel the Italians wouldn’t live with them.
