Ander Herrera started to tear up when he began to talk about his exit from Manchester United.
The current Athletic Bilbao midfielder spent five years at Old Trafford, joining in 2014 and then leaving on a free to PSG in 2019.
Herrera had a relatively successful spell at Manchester United, winning the Europa League and FA Cup during this time. He struck up a good relationship with the fanbase, something which was hard to accomplish at the time, which was why it was such a surprise when left for free.
A hard goodbye ❤️

Speaking to the Man United podcast, the 33-year-old revealed his true feelings when he was not offered a contract extension.
“To leave, it was difficult because six months before, five months before, I was expecting that offer for me to stay,” he said.
“I don’t want to, it’s not the moment to talk bad about anyone and I am not going to do it, but after my third season with the club I expected a little bit more from the club at that time. I got the Player of the Year award by the fans and the club didn’t call me that summer to sign a new contract, and they did with other players.
