The match winner Amber Barrett gave a brilliant interview to RTE’s Tony O’Donoghue after the match last night after Ireland defeated Scotland at Hampden Park to book their place at the World Cup finals. A fantastic achievement and shows how far women’s football and women’s sport in Ireland has come.

Amber Barrett being a proud Donegal girl also paid a lovely tribute to the ten people that lost their lives in the Creeslough accident up in Donegal last Friday, a incident that shocked the whole nation. Well done Amber Barrett and well done to the Girls in Green. A proud, proud night for the country of Ireland.
