(Video) Amateur golfer has tee off disrupted by gang of kangaroos in extraordinary encounter

Amateur Australian golfer Wendy Powick had her round interrupted on Wednesday by a gang of kangaroos.

We’ve seen exotic animal encounters on golf courses before, from crocodiles, hippos, antelopes and more… but we haven’t previously seen a group of 15+ kangaroos stopping a tee off.

Unfortunately for Wendy Powick, the first recorded kangaroo invasion on a golf course came as she attempted to play a round at the Arundel Hills Country Club on Wednesday.

Golfing sensation Powick had to press the pause button on her round after being approached by the kangaroos. “What is going on?” she asked – we have no idea either.

The kangaroos did eventually clear off and allow Powick to get her round of golf underway, but that’s an encounter that she won’t be forgetting in a hurry.

It also goes some way to dispelling the myth that golf is a boring sport. We’ve never seen a game of football invaded by a mob of kangaroos, nor a boxing match.

On many golf courses around the world, you really are in the heart of mother nature, which allows for extraordinary instances of this kind.
