Alan Shearer has urged his former side to bring in David de Gea to help with their goalkeeping crisis.
Eddie Howe’s side has been devastated by injuries which have completely derailed their season both domestically and in Europe.
They now have to do without Nick Pope who suffered a shoulder injury during the Manchester United win with Martin Dubravka stepping between the sticks.
Newcastle legend, Shearer, has now urged his former side to bring De Gea to the club for free in January with the Spanish goalkeeper still a free agent.
