Sergio Aguero reportedly complained about his Manchester City teammates’ lack of willingness to pass the ball at the full-time whistle of yesterday’s win over Borussia Monchengladbach.

Aguero has spent the bulk of the season to date out injured, with Man City coping just fine in his absence. He is back in the squad now, though, and was back amongst the goals against Fulham at the weekend.

With the 32-year-old still working his way back to full fitness, starting two games in a matter of days would probably not have been a wise move from Pep Guardiola, with the Argentine instead having to settle for a 15 minute cameo on Tuesday night.

City were cruising at the time of Aguero’s introduction, being two-up on the night and holding a four-goal aggregate lead. The stage was set for him to get in on the act, or so you would have thought.

Man City comfortably defeated Gladbach in the Champions League last 16.

Aguero had little to no involvement during his time on the Puskas Arena turf last night, and according to ESPN, he wasn’t best pleased about it. The report claims the veteran striker left the field saying, “no me pasan la pelota” which translates to “they don’t pass me the ball.”

You wouldn’t have thought that the Man City players would have any problem giving the ball to a striker who has scored 257 goals for the club, the most in their history.

Perhaps it was the 14 month wait for his latest Premier League goal which was playing on their minds…
