Southampton forward Che Adams revealed post-match that the Saints targeted a specific weakness of Manchester United.
Southampton became the latest side to take points off of Man United and dent their ambitions to finish in the top four and qualify for next season’s Champions League.
They were also the latest side to have prevented Man United from being victorious, despite the Red Devils scoring the opening goal. It’s becoming a running theme.
It’s a concern for Ralf Rangnick, of course, but their knack for second-half capitulation is providing encouragement for their opponents, as Che Adams revealed post-match.

Man United fans will not be best pleased to hear that even Southampton have recognised their Achilles heel, but the players, nor management, have been successful in addressing it.
They have absolutely no chance of beating the stiff competition to a place in the top four if they continue the trend of being unable to hold onto an advantage.
Rangnick needs to have a serious think about what he’s saying to the players at half-time for them to emerge from the tunnel so vulnerable on a weekly basis…
