A Championship striker has organised more illegal parties than scored goals

Now this isn’t the kind of statistic that you see everyday, even every year. Watford’s front man has made headlines for all the wrong reasons since the start of lockdown and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better for him.

Andre Gray has now officially organised more illegal gatherings/parties since lockdown started than scored goals. The Championship striker scored an abysmal 2 goals in 27 appearances in all competitions last season and has already secured half of that tally since the beginning of this season as per Transfermarkt. In 10 appearances in the Championship alone this season, Gray has bagged himself 1 goal and 1 assist.

He has managed to keep his name regularly in the news in recent months but for all the wrong reasons – in June Gray landed himself in hot water by breaking lockdown rules to invite over 20 people to his Surrey mansion for a birthday bash. More recently in November the centre forward did it again, he broke lockdown rules to invite friends to his house as footballers prove they think they are above the rules. Gray invited friends over on a Saturday night to host a poker party while his girlfriend was away.

After his first offence the player was dropped from the Watford team and forced to apologise but it seems like he hasn’t learned. What a crazy stat.
