Liverpool fans were shocked when Jurgen Klopp named 22 year old Irishman Caoimhin Kelleher in tonight’s Champions League lineup against Ajax.
News broke of Alisson Becker being rested due to a tight leg muscle before the lineup was announced.
Jurgen is suffering from a very thin squad due to extensive injuries and covid-19 problems but this start is especially shocking as Adrian, Liverpool’s second keeper is being left on the bench with Caoimhin being promoted directly into the match squad.

Caoimhin featured just 4 times for Liverpool last season with all of those appearances coming in domestic cup competitions.
Will he be able to step up to the plate and keep a clean sheet against such formidable European competition as Ajax. Trial by fire for the young man.
