WATCH: Botched detonation leaves former NFL stadium still standing in Detroit

The planned demolition of the Silverdome, the former home stadium of the Detroit Lions, has failed.

The demolition was scheduled to take place on December 2nd but after the explosive charges were detonated the building did not collapse.

An official with the demolition effort told a local news station the charges on the buildings main supporting columns did not go off, and an investigation into what happened is ongoing.
