Tipperary will have to do without Séamus Callanan for the start of their Munster Hurling Championship after it was confirmed that he has suffered ligament damage to his knee.
The former hurler of the year pick up the injury during Tipperary’s league game against Waterford and was visibly in pain as he made his way off the pitch.
Fans were worried after seeing his reaction and their worst fears were confirmed when it was revealed by Tipperary GAA that he will be sidelined for six to eight weeks.

According to their estimated recovery time, Callanan would miss their Munster championship opener against Clare on the 23rd of April.
