There has been a major development in the potential takeover of the Manchester club as a Qatari sports journalist announced that there are some ‘very simple steps to announce the acquisition of Manchester United’.

The Red Devils have been up for sale for a while now with the Glazer family finally opting to relinquish control of the Premier League club.

As expected there has been a host of potential investors linked with the club but the most prominent came from Qatar. According to reports, Qatari Investment Authority is currently preparing a seismic bid for the club and this seems even more likely after a recent tweet.

The Editor-in-Chief of the Doha Arabic and English e-Stadium posted ‘Manchester United, Qatari’ on Twitter.

Simultaneously, another tweet was sent from a prominent Qatari sports journalist which reads:

“After the intransigence of Liverpool’s owners and their refusal to give a percentage exceeding 49% (a controlling percentage in which decision-making takes place), the compass changed completely for Manchester United, very simple steps to announce the acquisition of United.”
