Roy Keane has responded to the taunting chants Manchester United supporters aimed at Erling Haaland during Sundayâs derby.
Manchester City cruised to a 3-0 victory against their bitter rivals at Old Trafford at the weekend, pushing Erik ten Hagâs side down to eighth in the table.
Haaland netted two goals and grabbed an assist during the game in an inspired performance.
Speaking after full-time, the Norwegian revealed that he felt pressure from the fans after they started chanting âKeanoâ at him.
âI felt a little bit [of pressure before the penalty], lots of people singing to me âKeanoâ, I donât know why! I had the pressure.â he told Sky Sports.
âI scored. It was a fantastic feeling. It was a nice celebration, both of them. I had pain in my knees after the assist from Bernardo!â
The chant referred to the notorious incident between the Manchester United legend and Haalandâs father when Keane put in a horrific challenge.
When questioned about this after the game, Keane jokingly responded.
âI donât know⌠Maybe they meant âRobbieâ Keane.â he said.
