Patrice Evra has revealed what his former manager said to Nani after the Portuguese winger was chopped down by Jamie Carragher in a horror tackle at Anfield.
Manchester United and Liverpool have arguably the most heated intense rivalry in the Premier League with hard-hitting challenges a requirement of the fixture.
This was especially the case when the two sides met back in 2011 with Carragher leaving a wound on Naniās leg with a horrific studs-up challenge.

Speaking on Rio Ferdinandās podcast FIVE, Evra brought up the incident and revealed how Ferguson reacted to Naniās crying.
āYou remember Anfield when Nani got tackled by Jamie Carragher?ā, Evra said.
āI remember he got butchered he nearly broke his leg. We started fighting with Liverpool players, Steven Gerrard, and then Scholsey [Paul Scholes] came and he saw Nani crying. He said āf*** that, letās goā.
āAfter that Ferguson gave him two weeks off because he says he needed to recover from that because we were waiting for him because in that team we didnāt care we were ready to kill him.
āBecause you know someone crying at Anfieldā¦ and even Ferguson, you remember when he said: āI hope your legs are f*****g broken I really hope your legs are brokenā.
āFerguson always wanted to kill Nani when he was falling on the floor, saying you canāt be a United player and doing that.ā
