Despite his return to the BBC earlier in the week, Gary Lineker will not feature on Match of the Day this weekend.
The BBC asked the former England international to step back from his role as presenter of the show last week due to his social media activity.
This decision was scrutinised by many people, including BBC pundits who stood with Lineker and refused to take part in the show.

Just days later, Lineker was reinstated, and the BBC apologised for the incident.
But despite this, the former striker will not feature on Match of the Day this weekend because he will be covering Manchester City’s FA Cup tie with Burnley live on BBC with Alan Shearer and Micah Richards.
Mark Chapman will instead present the show in his place on Saturday night.
