Saudi Arabian royal adviser Turki Alalshikh has revealed that Tyson Fury had a ‘secret’ about his sparring cut.

WBC champ Tyson Fury was set to face Oleksandr Usyk in just two week’s time before it was announced on Friday that ‘The Gypsy King’ had sustained a cut in sparring that led to him withdrawing from the February 17th clash.

Fury, Usyk, Klimas and Alalshikh all appeared on The MMA Hour With Ariel Helwani on Saturday evening to announce that the fight had been rearranged for May 18.

‘His Excellency’ also revealed that there will be a huge £10m fine if either fighter pulls out of the new fight date.

“I guarantee both of the fighters £10m if someone escapes from the fight. This is the first thing, and the second thing – I guarantee a big fight on the same night for another one,” said Alalshikh.

“Make the people around the world know if someone is scared and wants to escape from this fight. May 18th – we will have Tyson vs Usyk.”

Alalshikh then went on to claim that Fury had planned to still face the Ukrainian despite the cut he suffered in training.

He continued: “I want to tell you something that is a secret. Tyson doesn’t want me to tell it.”

“He wanted to fight on the 17th even with the cut and I said ‘I am not crazy to put you in the ring with this cut. It will be a circus, not a fight.'”

The cursed bout has now been rescheduled for May 18th in Riyadh but this is the third time fight fans have a date for the fight with two previous postponements.
