Graeme Souness returned to Galatasaray to join in with the title celebrations.

In 1996, the Scot almost sparked a riot planting a Gala flag at Fenerbahce.

The former Sky Pundit was manager of the club in the 1995/96 season and after beating city rivals Fenerbahce in the Turkish Cup final he crazily planted a Galatasaray flag in the centre circle of Fenerbahce’s pitch.

Souness relived the mad moment yesterday as his old side beat Fenerbahçe 3-0 at home.

Fan were loving the iconic flashback.

One said, ‘Souness is a bonefide legend of the game.’

Another added, ‘Souness is too goated for this I can’t lie. This guy risked his life to plant a galatasary flag in Fernabaches stadium. Cold.’

A third commented, ‘The fact he put a flag in to a rival’s pitch will always be funny to me , like imagine the uproar if someone like Klopp or Pep did that at Old Trafford.’
