Dana White has revealed that Conor McGregor may fight this year.
The Irishman has failed to enter the USADA testing pool and it’s a requirement that he needs to be in it for 6 months to allow him to compete in the UFC.
A prospective clash against Michael Chandler was pencilled in for the last PPV of the year but it seemed unlikely that the fight would take place then.
But Dana White has revealed it’s still a possibility despite McGregor not being in the USADA testing pool.
He said in an interview with TSN,
He’s not (back in the USADA testing pool), one hundred percent [there’s a chance Conor McGregor fights this year].”
“The Conor thing, who the hell knows how that’s going to play out – who cares what USADA says, we’ll see what happens when it happens so I don’t know.”
