The 26 year old Manchester United and England striker Marcus Rashford had a massive weekend in Belfast last weekend and reported in sick for the Red Devils trip to Newport ..
Details of his antics have now emerged from a waitress who claimed to have joined his entourage on his night out on Thursday, which is said to have ended in a messy fashion. Sarah Adair, 30, told The Sun and quoted by The Daily Star how she served Rashford his lunch on Thursday (January 24) before he invited her to party with him.
She described what followed as a “weird” night out. It is alleged to have ended with her putting him to bed after he’d dropped “between £8,000-£10,000” in cash on his hotel room floor, claims Adair.
Rashford had jetted into Belfast the day before via a private jet, which he took after Red Devils training. He is said to have stayed at the Fitzwilliam Hotel, booking the £1,500-a-night residence suite.
After reuniting with former United youth team-mate Ro-Shaun Williams and posing for a picture with his new team Larne FC, he reportedly headed to the restaurant where Sarah works.
He asked her to join their group, and she claims that Rashford and his pals downed shots of tequila and drank cocktails. She adds that Rashford asked her if she knew of any nightclubs that would stay open past 3am if he paid them to. After returning home from work to get changed, Adair claims she joined the footballer’s entourage for the night out.
One of Rashford’s friends is said to have reminded him he had training, but Sarah claims he was “on a mission to get drunk” and “had been drinking all day”.
Thompson’s Garage nightclub was mentioned as the hotspot to visit, and that’s where Rashford is said to have been pictured by fans arriving past midnight.
Sarah claims the group partied until 2am, although a source close to Rashford insisted he left at 1.15am. The group are then said to have headed back to the Fitzwilliam Hotel. Sarah told The Sun: “He was so drunk at this point that he picked up his own bag and dropped it and all this cash fell out.
“It was all £20 notes and big wads of it. I reckon there was between £8,000 and £10,000 cash. Then he falls back into the wall and I have to kind of scoop him up and on to the bed. He was fully dressed and I reckon he just passed out like that. He didn’t even get under the covers.”
