Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is seeking an eye-watering £500m loan despite already investing £1bn into the team.
The West London club have continued their poor form from last season, as they currently sit 15th in the table, just two points above the relegation zone.
Chelsea fans hoped that the club’s big money splurge in the summer would’ve fixed the issues that plagued them for the entirety of last season but it seems that things have only gotten worse.
Mauricio Pochettino oversaw the transfers of several high-profile names in the summer, including Moises Caicedo who joined the side for a British record fee of £115 from Brighton.
But results haven’t improved and Boehly is seeking a further £500m loan from US financial institutions to get his new side firing, according to The Sun.
