The England captain is reportedly going to be offered a new RFU central contract just days after taking a step back from international duty.
Owen Farell announced on Wednesday that he would not be playing in the upcoming Six Nations with England and would be taking a break from international rugby to prioritise his mental health.
But according to Mail Sport, Farrell will be offered a new RFU contract despite his future with England still being unclear.
Steve Borthwick has reportedly picked 25 key players to receive one of these ‘hybrid contracts’ ahead of the 2027 Rugby World Cup.
The report also states that Farrell will not only receive a guaranteed salary boost on top of his contract with Saracens but will grant him access to the RFU’s sports psychologists.
