Mikel Arteta appeared to have a pop at Sky Sports and Ange Postecoglou during his press conference on Tuesday.
Arsenal are set to take on Sevilla at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night as they try to confirm their place in the Champions League knockout stages.
But a lot of the talk in Arteta’s press conference revolved around his outburst against VAR after the Newcastle game on Saturday.
The Spanish manager came under a lot of stick for his comments and was asked by a reporter about his behaviour on the touchline.
Arteta seemed to have a sly dig at Postecoglou with his answer.
“Your colleague has mentioned how emotional I was after the game, and how I acted on the touchline.” he said
“I didn’t get a yellow, I didn’t get a warning from the referee, so I stayed focused on the game, trying to affect the game in the best possible way for my players, that’s it.”
The Tottenham manager was praised for his comments about accepting refereeing decisions after his side’s 4-1 loss to Chelsea but was also booked for dissent during the game.
