Erik ten Hag has reportedly given the green light to the club to swap Antony for his Brazilian teammate in the January window.
Manchester United have been struggling to find their feet so far this season as they currently sit eighth in the Premier League after losing five of their opening 11 games.
A major issue for the Dutch manager has been his underperforming attack, with Marcus Rashford failing to replicate his form from earlier this year.
But it is not just the English striker who has failed to meet the standard, Antony has also struggled to impress since arriving from Ajax last season.
According to reports from the Daily Mirror, the club is willing to offer the Brazilian up on loan in part exchange for Gabriel Barbosa.
