David de Gea has reportedly turned down a new contract at Manchester United as the club looks to tie him down before his deal expires this summer.
The Spanish goalkeeper has been a very important figure for the club over the past few seasons and has been a consistent standout during difficult periods at Old Trafford.
But with the 32-year-old’s contract expiring at the end of the season, his future remains unclear.

De Gea is currently the highest-paid goalkeeper in the world, earning around a whopping £ 375,000 a week and according to The Athletic, Manchester United’s new contract offer will see him earn less money.
It seems like both parties want this new deal to happen but an agreement on the pay cut must be reached first.
