Lionel Messi is auctioning off the jersey he wore during Argentina’s triumphant final win against France last December.
The Inter Miami forward led his side to victory in incredible fashion after defeating France on penalties in the World Cup final in Saudi Arabia.
Messi gave an iconic display throughout the tournament and has decided to auction his World Cup final jersey at Sotheby’s in New York for a staggering £8 million.
If it does sell for that amount, it would rival only Michael Jordan’s 1998 NBA Final jersey which sold for £8.1 million.
Lionel Messi is going to AUCTION six of the shirts he wore in QATAR 2022.
Much of the proceeds will go to the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital in Barcelona to help children suffering from illness.
