French publication Midi Olympique released their Rugby World Cup Best XV but only included one Ireland player in the squad.
Andy Farrell’s side only made it to the quarter-finals of the Rugby World Cup in France, where they were knocked out by New Zealand in a gruelling game.

At the time, Ireland was considered one of the favourites in the tournament after beating eventual winners South Africa in the group stages.
According to French publication, Midi Olympique, only one Irish player deserved to make their ‘Best XV’ and that was Bundee Aki.

Aki was also named in the ‘World Rugby Dream Team of the Year’ along with four other Ireland players.
