Frank Lampard is plotting a return to football management and is in the running to become the next England U-21 manager.
The former Chelsea midfielder was unceremoniously sacked by Everton two months ago after a string of bad performances which saw his side drop to the relegation zone.
But according to Sportsmail, he is plotting a move back to management and is in the running for the England U-21 job.

The current U-21 coach, Lee Carsley is reportedly considering a future elsewhere after the summer European Championships.
Sportmail also reports that Steven Gerrard and Scott Parker are also interested in the position if Carsley should leave.
This is part of an initiative to bring in former players.
