Raphael Dwamena sadly passed away during an Albanian Super League game on Saturday.
A video on social media shows the 28-year-old collapse to the ground during a game in the 24th minute.
He was rushed off the pitch in an ambulance with the Albanian Football Federation confirming his death after.
The Ghanaian striker made eight appearances for his country during his career and also played for La Liga side Levante.
Dwamena’s former teammates paid tribute to the 28-year-old after the game along with the Ghana national team and his former clubs.
Our thoughts are with the family of Raphael Dwamena at this difficult time.
Raphael represented Ghana wholeheartedly and paid his dues to the country until his unfortunate passing.
We will forever miss him for his dedication to the National Coarse.
