Fans were furious at the referee’s decision to award Manchester City a penalty during their first half against Chelsea.
After such a resilient and strong start to the game, Chelsea were hit with a gut punch when the referee pointed to the spot for a City penalty.
Erling Haaland was deemed to have been fouled by Marc Cucurella but the replay showed the Norwegian also fouling the defender in the process.
VAR chose not to overturn the decision, much to the frustration of fans who also pointed out numerous decisions that also went in the favour of Pep Guardiola’s side.
Weird how Man City are the only team that get those type of penalties.

First Old Trafford and now Stamford Bridge.
How is anyone supposed to compete when they break 115 FFP rules and get phantom penalties to break through in big games?

City have got two of the softest penalties you’ll see all season to break open two of their more difficult away games. Weight of the first goal is huge. Punishment doesn’t fit the (negligible) crime.
