Both Kai Havertz and Bruno Guimaraes were lucky to remain on the pitch during the game on Saturday.
It has all kicked off at St. James’ Park with both sides unleashing on each other in a very competitive fixture.
But Arsenal almost went a man down after Havertz put in a very late and reckless challenge that was reviewed by VAR and not deemed a red card offence.
Minutes after Guimaraes elbowed Jorginho in the back of the head and VAR again deemed it not severe enough to be a sending-off.
Fans couldn’t believe both decisions.
“Stupid, stupid challenge” 😲

Kai Havertz could be off. Bruno Guimarães should be off. Plus some odd yellows for Newcastle. Not the greatest half from the officials/Stockley Park – or certain ill-disciplined players. #NEWARS

Bruno Guimaraes is a very lucky boy after that elbow on Jorginho.
