Fans are split after new footage emerged of the Casemiro red card incident on Saturday.
Manchester United recovered well from their league defeat to Arsenal by winning 2-1 at home to Crystal Palace. But it almost didn’t go to plan, when in the 70th minute Brazilian midfielder Casemiro received a red card for putting both hands around Will Hughes’ throat.
The incident occurred during a scuffle between the two teams and upon reviewing the footage, VAR decided to send the Manchester United player off.
Fans seemed to agree with the decision at the time but new footage has emerged which shows another angle in real speed.

One fan said “Without knowing, if someone showed you this and told you one of the players involved gets a straight red and 3-game ban, you’re not guessing Casemiro. The slowed-down angle used by VAR admittedly looked far worse, but from this angle it’s almost laughable”.
