Everton were hit with a 10-point deduction on Friday, making it the heaviest points sanction in the history of the Premier League.

But according to Mail Sport, it could get a lot worse.

Burnley, Leeds and Leicester are seeking compensation for the club after Everton narrowly avoided the drop over the past two seasons.

If they are successful, Everton could be hit with another nine-point penalty which would be devastating for their chances to remain in the Premier League this season.
