Chelsea is currently being investigated by the Premier League for alleged ‘secret payments to Russian entities’ revolving around transfer dealings.
The allegation relates to secret payments made during Roman Abramovich’s tenure at the club when they signed both Willian and Samuel Eto’o.

The two players were purchased in 2013 from Russian club, Anzhi Makhachkala, and according to The Times are part of the current investigation.
The report also goes on to state that it was the current Chelsea owners who flagged the transfers from 2013 to the Premier League when they were purchasing the club.

Willian joined for a reported £30m at the time with Eto’o arriving on a free transfer and signing a one-year contract.
