Chelsea had to fork out a whopping £21.5 million to get Graham Potter out of Brighton last summer.
The English managed joined the London club at the start of the season replacing the out of favour Thomas Tuchel.
Potter had an outstanding record at Brighton and caught the eye of Todd Boehly who was keen to put his stamp on the club.

The decision received a lot of plaudits at the time but is now being questioned as the club is currently struggling in the league.
New reports have now shown just how much Chelsea had to pay to get Potter out of Brighton and it’s a world record amount.
According to Kieran Maguire, the club paid £21.5 million in compensation to Potter and his coaching staff.
Brighton paid £3m for consultation services of Star Lizard, the company that does the clever stuff analysing players and the game.
