Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe did not submit their second bids to buy Manchester United before the 9 pm deadline.
The Qatari billionaire was expected to submit a second bid for the club and battle it out with Sir Jim Ratcliffe who was also reportedly set to offer a world record amount.
But according to Sky Sports, neither party submitted a bid before the 9 pm deadline and have both been granted an extension.
