Michael Chandler is still convinced he will fight Conor McGregor.
McGregor has taken aim at multiple different opponents in recent times. From Floyd Mayweather to Justin Gaethje he’s been calling out pretty much everyone.
He was due to fight Michael Chandler at the end of The Ultimate Fighter season where both men are coaches and then they usually meet in the Octagon.
But McGregor’s USADA issues and recent social media activity has left fans to question whether he will actually fight Michael Chandler.
Chandler though, isn’t concerned and still believes he will be next for the Irishman.
He told ESPN: “The beautiful thing about mixed martial arts is it’s the what have you done for me lately business and everyone has a short-term memory and we all succumb to a recency bias.
“I’m not really that worried about it. I believe the fight is happening.
“The fight makes too much sense for it not to happen.
“I’m still the most entertaining guy on the doggone roster.
“Everyone wants to see the greatest comeback in combat sports history, so I think it’s going to be me and Conor. That’s it.”
