Al Ettifaq have edited Jordan Henderson’s captain’s armband in their transfer announcement video and it’s sparked a huge backlash online.
Henderson joined the Saudi Arabian outfit in a deal worth £12million plus add-ons and today they released the announcement video.
The former Liverpool captain’s rainbow coloured armband has been edited to a black and white version.

Fans hit out at the edit.
One said, ‘From being one of the most respected social campaigners in the English game to having the institution who pay you the hush money obscuring the rainbow flag you used to don in “solidarity”.
Another added, ‘Saudi League is actually disgusting. The way the LGBT flag is coloured out. Anyone who moves here i instantly don’t like.’
A third commented, ‘You’ve done a top job of the sepia tones on his rainbow armband you absolute rascals.’
A fourth Tweeted, ‘I think it’s clear that their creative process for this video began with the decision to make the captain’s armband black and white and then to go from there.’
