WATCH: Ireland v Wales European Qualifier At Croke Park In 2007

Ireland and Wales will always share an historic moment together as it was those two nations that were the first ever to play a professional football match on the sacred ground of Croke Park.

The FAI were without a national stadium after Lansdowne Road was closed to be redeveloped into what is not the Aviva stadium. Thankfully the GAA allowed the FAI to use their state of the art facility at Croke Park.

On March 24th 2007 Ireland and Wales went head-to-head in a European qualifier match which ended 1-0 to the Irish thanks to a 39t minute winner from Stephen Ireland.

Irish fans will be hoping for much the same tonight as the two go into tonights crucial World Cup qualifier Group D clash hoping to grab all three points.
