Cristiano Ronaldo has finally met the young boy who was orphaned by a suicide bombing in Lebanon.
Haidar was in the Bourj el Barajneh suburb of Beirut, the Lebanese capital, when a suicide bomber detonated and killed both of his parents in a cowardly attack this year.
Bourj el Barajneh is home to a refugee camp that hosts some 28,000 Palestinian refugees and is an area that has been targeted in the past by extremists.
Lebanese reporter Rana Harbi, heartbroken by the story of football-mad Haidar, attempted to contact Real Madrid in the vain hope that the youngster could meet his idol Cristiano Ronaldo.

This tweet reached thousands of people in a single day. It really shows that social media can bring people together and perform great acts of kindness and the Spanish giants surprised her by getting in touch with the recovering Haidar and arranging for him to meet Ronaldo.
