Bradley Lowery Named As Honorary 41st Place Rider At Grand National

Five-year-old Sunderland fan Bradley Lowery had been awarded the honorary 41st place in this Saturday’s Grand National.

Lowery has been battling with neuroblastoma, a rare form of cancer he has suffered from for the last four years.

The young Sunderland fan has captured the hearts of the nation and social media especially that Sunderland and England striker Jermaine Defoe.

Ahead of this weekend’s big race, Jockey Club Racecourses have created the special place as a way to raise funds and awareness to fight the disease.

Bradley will wear a red and white outfit to represent his beloved Sunderland and Defoe has even been listed as one of his trainers. Bradley’s older brother Kieran is listed as the jockey.
