Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi has responded to an article published by Twitter account TheChelseaDaily claiming that he is ‘set to become the first openly gay footballer in the Premier League’, in the most Batshuayi way possible.

The 24 year old striker has gained many new online fans since joining the Premier League champions and has amassed over 1 million Twitter followers alone thanks to his quick wit and banter.
After the tweet did the rounds for a few hours the Belgian responded and played down the rumour, saying: “bro even your mother knows thats false…”

The response quickly gathered thousands of retweets and replies including one from the publisher itself who said “Sorry Michy bro, my sources let me down. I’m usually reliable.”
