Arjen Robben Announces Retirement From International Football

Arjen Robben has announced his retirement from International football after The Netherlands failed to qualify for World Cup 2018.

It’s the first time in 16 years the Dutch have failed to qualify for the World Cup and it seems that was enough to bring Robben’s 13 year international career to an end.

The winger sad he wants to focus more on club football and “pass the torch to the next generation.”

Robben made a total of 96 appearances for his country with a record of 37 goals and 29 assists including a brace against Sweden in his final game in the orange shirt of Holland.
