Speaking at a press conference Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon announced he will be leaving the Italian club at the end of this season.

Buffon spent 17 years at the club and announced he will be hanging up his gloves in Turin but may not be retiring.

During the interview the World Cup winner apologised to English referee Michael Oliver for the comments he made towards him after being sent off during a crucial Champions League semi-final game against Real Madrid earlier this year.

“I was sorry to have ‘offended’ him because at the end of the day he is a human being who does a very difficult job. If I’d seen him two days later, I’d have hugged him & apologised, but he could’ve been a bit calmer in such an important game”

During his time at Juve Buffon won 9 Serie A titles, 1 Serie B, 4 Copa Italia’s and 5 Supercoppa’s making 655 appearances along the way.
