Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte has made a bizarre comment regarding Holland’s national team success claiming that he would be willing to swap the province of Limburg with Belgium for Kevin De Bruyne.
The remarks were first reported by Dutch outlet Het Beleg Van Antwerpen, which highlighted the Prime Minister’s disappointment about the national football team being on the verge of failing to qualify for the 2018 World Cup. The 50 year old made the presumably tongue-in-cheek offer by saying:
“Of course, this is a great sacrifice for Dutch society. They are such nice people and we will certainly miss them. But yes, sometimes you have to make difficult choices and recognise your priorities”.
