The Referee For The Mayweather/McGregor Fight Has Been Announced

The referee for the Mayweather v McGregor fight has been announced as Robery Byrd.

Byrd will have the task of maintaining control during the richest fight in history when Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather and Conor ‘Notorious’ McGregor go tot-to-toe on August 26th in Las Vegas.

Byrd is a California-based boxing judge and referee and spent 34 years with the California Highway Patrol before retiring and moving to Nevada.

He had fought as an amateur during his military service and was inducted into the World Boxing Hall of Fame in 2006 in the “Expanded Category,”

Byrd is also the husband of boxing judge Adalaide Byrd.
