Outrage As Porto Charge Liverpool Supporters Triple Price Tickets For Away Fixture

Liverpool fans are the latest group of football supporters to feel the pinch of overpriced away tickets after they discovered they would have to pay £66.50 for a ticket for Liverpool’s Champions League clash with Porto next month.

The increased price will mean that the travelling supporters will be paying £44.50 more than the home fans.

It’s not the first time we’ve seen this, this season as there was controversy over away ticket prices for Manchester United supporters traveling to Sevilla for their Round of 16 clash with the Spanish side next month.

United were given 2,450 tickets priced at £89 (€100) for the clash with Sevilla, with a further 200 tickets priced at £133 (€150).

This represented the highest ticket price for a game outside of a final or semi-final in the club’s history.

Fortunately for United fans the club has decided to subsidise the travelling contingent and have agreed to refund supporters £35 ahead of the game.

The question that now remains is should Liverpool do the same?
